Who Counts as a "Non-Shooter"?

The Bucks and Raptors series has thrust one question into the spotlight: who counts as a shooter that can be helped off of?

With 10 and a half minutes left in the first quarter of Game 2 of the Toronto/Milwaukee series, Kawhi Leonard drove into the paint, and Brook Lopez slid to the restricted area to help cut him off. Kawhi made the right play, kicking to Marc Gasol, Lopez’s man, and Gasol lined up a wide open three at the top of the arc—and missed the rim entirely. It would be that kind of night for Gasol and the Raptors.
